From December 3, 2002 as per Legislative Decree of November 22, 2002 of the Ministry of the Interior, published in the Gazzetta Ufficiale no. 283 of December 3, 2002, LPG vehicles fitted with a safety-compliant system complying with the ECE/UN regulation 67-01, can park on the first floor of garages, even if built with several underground levels.
LPG vehicles equipped with a safety system complying with the ECE/UN 67-01 regulation are all those on which the system was installed from 1 January 2001, from which date compliance with the ECE/UN regulation 67-01 has become mandatory. To check if your car is equipped with a compliant system, check the registration card which is labelled "SYSTEM EQUIPPED WITH A SECURITY SYSTEM ECE/UN 67-01".
